To access the GIS Shapefiles section of our Open Data Portal please submit a request using the following form. This section of the Portal is subject to our Shared Data Licence Terms and Conditions within the attached link.
When downloading or utilising the information within this area of the Portal you are deemed to have accepted and are bound by said Terms and Conditions.
The four "Local Authority GIS Shapefile" datasets provide SPEN asset data in GIS format for the key network assets across our Distribution (SPD and SPM) and Transmission (SPT) business licence areas. These shapefiles allow users to download the relevant network assets for their Local Authority area and to map them using GIS software.
The "SPM GIS Shapefiles - Line Assets" data table provides SPEN asset data in GIS format for the key network assets across our Distribution (SPM) business licence areas. These shapefiles allow users to download the relevant network assets for their Local Authority area and to map them using GIS software.
The table gives the following information:
- Geo point for each asset type and voltage
- Geo shape for each asset type and voltage
- Status for each asset type
- The SP ENID for each asset type
- The operating voltage for each asset type
